Join the VP Team

If you would like to learn more about what we are aiming to achieve, being part of a team and contributing to your community, here are some volunteer roles that we are looking to fill.

Treasurer - join the VP Board and become our financial steward. Day to day financial management is already looked after by a very well credentialled and experienced book-keeper. The Treasurer would work with the book-keeper to ensure that VP meets its compliance, taxation and financial obligations. Like all volunteer roles, you may learn a lot and gain valuable experience by taking on this role.

Social Media Specialist - join the VP Operations team to help us to broadly communicate our goals and activities. Social media will help attract people to learn more about VP, our goals, to potentially join our CE Program or make contact to apply our experience to their own community. Social media will also help potential funding bodies to become more aware of VP. We are looking for someone with skills in using Facebook and Instagram. They may also bring experience with other media and strategic planning.

Energy Outreach Specialists -  our CE Program will be helping participants to better understand their energy bills and how they can adjust their energy use to have more impact on Community Energy. We are looking for people with experience in home energy audits, or energy mentoring or development of learning resources to support our program.

These are all volunteer roles and will require you to join in regular meetings and activities. We can promise you that you will learn a lot and hopefully feel like you are making a valuable contribution.
